J. B. Miller, President & CEO of Empire Entertainment, is an Emmy Award-winning producer with over four decades of experience as an Executive Producer and representative of the interests of global corporations, not-for-profits, private individuals and governments in all areas of the entertainment industries.

As an Executive Producer, Miller has created, produced and overseen production on thousands of major corporate, not-for-profit and private events on six continents for clients that include Google, Time, Microsoft, The Walt Disney Company, HP, Goldman, Sachs, Mercedes-Benz, PepsiCo, IBM, Samsung, SONY, American Express, Viacom, the United Nations, Robin Hood and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation among others. Miller has been recognized as Producer of the Year by BizBash's Reader's Choice Awards.

Since founding Empire in 1993, Miller and the Empire team have produced major events, television productions, film premieres, parties, product launches, grand openings, festivals and awards programs including Time Magazine's TIME 100 Gala, The TriBeCa Film Festival, The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Celebration, The Webby Awards, Internet Week, The Clinton Global Initiative's Global Citizen Awards, The Gotham Awards, Japan Society's Centennial Celebration, the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball, the Skoll World Forum, and the Grand Opening of Atlantis, Palm Island in Dubai.

Empire Entertainment has booked/presented musical artists such as Aerosmith, Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli, Bono, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band, Elton John, Gwen Stefani, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Lenny Kravitz, Phil Collins, The Pretenders, Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, and Sting; comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, John Hamm, Ray Romano, and Jay Leno; speakers such as President Barack Obama, President Bill Clinton, Steven Speilberg, George Lucas, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, General Colin Powell, and Al Gore; and presented theatrical productions and variety artists including Blue Man Group, Cirque de Soleil, David Copperfield, Penn & Teller and Riverdance.

Miller was also the co-Founder and Co-President of Industrial Artist Management, Inc. (now Concept Artists). This management and booking firm, founded in 1995, exclusively represents various distinctive performing artists with special appeal to the corporate and special event market such as aerial troupe AntiGravity®, martial arts performance ensemble Art of War, Mass Ensemble, "Movin' Out" star Michael Cavanaugh, Australian physical comedy team The Umbilical Brothers and technology magician Marco Tempest, among others. Industrial Artist Management has booked and presented artists for projects ranging from The Olympic Closing Ceremonies to the North American International Auto Show.

Miller has worked extensively as a producer and executive producer in television, motion pictures, industrial video and digital for which his work has been recognized with Emmy and Telly awards. Miller has served as Executive Producer of programs including Juneteenth Unityfest and Your World Your Vote for earthday.org. In 2005 Miller was a consultant on the Academy Award-winning feature film "Capote." In 1998 Miller served as executive producer for the critically-acclaimed feature documentary motion picture, "The Cruise," which was distributed by Artisan Entertainment, and televised by HBO/Cinemax. Miller received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in News / Documentary programming for his work on "The Cruise". Miller served as Executive Producer of the independent feature "Wet Behind the Ears" and Associate Producer of "Zombeavers." In 2011 Empire won YouTube's DoGooder Award for the AJWS 25th Anniversary video featuring Ben Stiller, Sarah Silverman, Jerry Seinfeld, Patrick Stewart and others. In 2009 Empire won the Telly Award for HP Touchsmart PCs vital video.

Additionally, Empire has helped to produce numerous live broadcast, livestream and taped broadcast events including the 2010 and 2007 teachings of His Holiness XIV Dalai Lama from Radio City Music Hall, the 2011 & 2012 Webby Awards with MLB Video, the 2009 HardBat Classic Ping Pong tournament from the Venetian in Las Vegas, NV and the 10th Anniversary of O Magazine featuring a live broadcast of the Oprah Winfrey Show from Radio City Music Hall. Miller and Empire have also produced numerous virtual events and industrial video projects for clients that include Time Magazine, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Microsoft, Columbia University, The Jaan Society, the Skoll World Forum and educational institutions including Dartmouth, Columba University and MIT.

From 1988-1993 Miller worked for Overland Entertainment, Inc. serving as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Head Talent Negotiator and Supervising producer. In these positions Miller developed and directed major corporate accounts and produced events for such companies as SONY Electronics, American Express, Estée Lauder and Time Warner, presenting such artists as Harry Connick Jr., Liza Minnelli, Kenny Rogers and Jerry Seinfeld. At Overland, Miller was responsible for all aspects of account management, creative program development, talent relations & negotiations and onsite production management.

Prior to 1988, Miller served as associate director of On-Air Talent for MTV: Music Television, booking and working with such talent as Howard Stern and Penn & Teller and helping to develop MTV programs such as 'Remote Control.' Prior to MTV, Miller worked for Ron Delsener Enterprises (now Live Nation) where he was involved with the booking and production of acts such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Mike and The Mechanics, and The Monkees for New York City venues including Madison Square Garden, The Jones Beach Theater, and Pier 84.

While in college, Miller interned at the NBC Television Network in the talent department of Late Night With David Letterman, where he booked acts such as Dennis Hopper and Allan Havey and helped to screen and pitch talent for the program.

Miller has studied and lived in New York, Boston, London, and Paris and has traveled extensively to nearly 100 countries. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Television & Film from New York University's Tisch School For The Arts (also earning the distinction of University Honors Scholar) and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) in International Marketing & Negotiation from the New York University Stern School of Business. Miller is also a graduate of the Advanced Negotiation program at Harvard Law School.

Miller has served on various not for profit Boards and advisory committees including as Board Chair of Reel Works Teen Filmmaking, and Board member of the Lowline, Keep a Child Alive, Royal Family Productions and the Performing Arts Advisory Committee of the Japan Society.

Miller lives in New York City. He is a licensed aircraft pilot, an experienced sailor and drummer, a second degree black belt rank in Tae Kwon Do and enjoys skiing, paragliding, sailing and world travel.
