Amber Mathis

Senior Technical Producer - New York City

Since joining Empire in 2016, Amber has been the Technical Director on several projects including Bustle: Rule Breakers, Target Corp Financial Community Meeting, Environmental Defense Fund 50th Anniversary Gala in NYC and SF, Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New American's 20th Anniversary, Kanye West’s Album Launch Listening Party in Jackson Hole, Casper Mattress Company’s Influencer Campout, Barclay Center Cares Gala, Ebony Power 100 Awards, Screenvision Media Upfront, Call for Code with IBM and Harper’s Bazaar Icons.

As Production Manager, Amber has worked on the Dartmouth 250th Anniversary Capital Campaign Launch in NYC and SF, Medidata NEXT, FOX Investor Conference, the annual Samsung Charity Gala, UN Women HeforShe, Brooklyn Army Terminal’s 100th Anniversary Block Party, Studio Museum of Harlem Gala, and the Global Hope Coalition.

In addition to her technical roles, Amber also occasionally takes on the roles of Show Producer, Stage Manager and Show Caller. She has been the show producer for the 11th Annual Shorty Awards, 2019 Fragrance Foundation Awards, Medidata CKO and the Row 7 Seed Company Dinner in Los Angeles hosted by Chef Dan Barber.

Before joining Empire, Amber was a Production Manager off-Broadway for six years where she worked on several high-profile shows including A Month in the Country starring Peter Dinklage and Taylor Schilling, Nathan the Wise starring F. Murray Abraham, and Iphigenia in Aulis choreographed by Sonya Tayeh and directed by Tony winner Rachel Chavkin (Classic Stage Company), Lost Girls starring Piper Perabo and Smokefall directed by Anne Kauffman and staring Zachary Quinto (MCC Theater), The Designated Mourner and Grasses of a Thousand Colors both written by and starring Wallace Shawn (The Public Theater & TFANA) and Indecent written by Paula Vogel and starring Katrina Lenk (The Vineyard Theater).

Amber is originally from sunny South Florida and is an avid lover of flip flops, the beach, and musical theater. #GoNoles
