Maki Tsutsumi is a born and bred Tokyoite, one of the twins and heavily influenced by Jackie Chan's movies. After graduating from college in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she started her career at Morgan Stanley in Tokyo. With a strong desire from her young age to visit China, she left the company and went to live in Shanghai. Upon returning to Tokyo, Maki worked as a consultant of information security. After meeting Ted Miller, Maki joined with like-minded professionals to launch Empire Entertainment Japan.

Maki specializes in international projects for global corporations and talents across the world including USA, Central/South America, Europe and Asia.
She has produced a number of events for world leading corporations such as Nestle, Merrill Lynch, Richard Hennessy, Mercedes Benz, Bloomberg, Canon, UNIQLO, HP, Toshiba, etc. As a project manager, she also has worked for the oversea events hosted by Japanese government and produced TV programs, CF and ad campaigns.

She is fluent in Japanese and English and loves coffee, jazz and traveling.
