LIFEPLUS NY by Hanwha Finance

Hanwha, one of South Korea's major corporations, launched an inaugural event in New York City called LIFEPLUS NY, which took place at Glasshouse on Friday, November 17. LIFEPLUS NY brought together Korean college and graduate students from top universities across the U.S. to support emerging talent and provide opportunities for students to develop their future careers and personal growth.

The event kicked off with a conference featuring distinguished speakers, including Mike Joo, COO of Bank of America; Congressman Andy Kim; Joonpyo Lee, CEO of SoftBank Ventures Asia; and Peter Shin, Emmy-nominated animator of 20th Century Animations. The conference concluded with dinner by Abigail Kirsch and Seoul Salon paired with a networking session for the attendees and speakers.

Afterwards, the guests walked over to another space within the venue for the after party. The MC was social media star and founder of Righteous Eats, Jaeki Cho, who introduced the headline concert featuring four musicians from AOMG, one of Korea’s top hip-hop and R&B labels, which included Simon Dominic, GRAY, Loco, and LeeHi. Following the two hour concert, the event turned into a dance party with tunes provided by headline DJ, Dillon Francis.
